What we collect, and what we do with it.

Short version. The only thing this website collects is the early access form. We use it to talk to you about Tailgate. We do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

This page covers the website at runtailgate.com. The Tailgate application at app.runtailgate.com is in private early access, and the handling of a contractor's own business records is covered by the agreement we sign with that company. See our Terms.

What the early access form collects

The form on the home page asks for the following. Only your name and email address are required. Everything else is optional and the form works without it.

Your name
Your email address
Your company name
Your phone number
The trades you work in
Roughly how many crews you run
Whatever you write in the free text box

The form also carries one hidden field that real people never see or fill in. It exists to catch automated spam submissions, and the database rejects a submission that has it filled. Nothing about you goes in it.

We do not ask for and do not want payment details, government identification numbers, or your customers' information on this form.

Where it is stored

Submissions go into a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, in their US East region in Ohio. Access is restricted at the database level: the form can add a row and cannot read one back, and only Tailgate staff accounts can read the list.

The website itself is served by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel records ordinary request information such as IP address, timestamp, and browser user agent in its server logs. We do not use those logs to build a profile of anyone.

What we use it for

One thing. Getting in touch with you about Tailgate: answering your question, setting up a demo, or telling you when there is room in early access.

We do not sell or rent it.
It stays between us and the two service providers named on this page, which host the site and the database on our behalf.
There is no newsletter and no marketing list. If we email you, it is a person writing to you.
The site carries no advertising trackers, so nothing here is being handed to an ad network.

Cookies

This site sets none. It also runs no analytics package and no tracking scripts of any other kind, which is why you will not find a consent banner here: there is nothing to consent to. The page is plain HTML with a small amount of script for the layout and the form.

If that ever changes, this page changes with it, and we will say so before it happens.

How long we keep it

We keep your submission until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer have a reason to hold it. If Tailgate does not go on to launch, we delete the list.

How to get your information deleted

Email hello@runtailgate.com and ask. We will delete your submission and confirm that it is done. You do not need to explain why, and you do not need an account to ask.

You can use the same address to ask what we hold about you, or to correct it.

Children

This is a product for businesses. The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes to how we use information already collected get an email to the people affected.
